Description
"The Indian Doctor, a multiple award-winning BBC drama, returns for the second series. It is the early summer of 1964 in the small Welsh mining village of Trefelin and Dr. Prem Sharma (Sanjeev Bhaskar) and his wife Kamini (Ayesha Dharker) are now settled in their new home. Having gained the trust of the villagers, an outbreak of a deadly disease threatens everyones health and brings back the spectre of prejudice. Prem finds himself battling both the ignorance of the authorities and the fears of his own patients when he tries to prove to them that ignoring his medical advice could cost them their lives."--Container.
