Includes discussion of the global conflict of World War II; the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the U.S. declaration of war; rations and shortages; the fight of Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin to conquer Nazism; the Nazi concentration camps; Japanese-American internment camps; the death of FDR; Harry Truman; Hiroshima; radio; Hank Greenberg; Mao and Communism in China; Russia's bomb and America's bomb shelters; and the postwar spending spree in the U.S.
