Description
Jeremiah Cole has been convicted and sentenced to hang for lynching a priest, a crime that shocked all New Mexico Territory. Yet most people believe that Cole, the son of wealthy and powerful Senator Roman Cole, will never be executed. Father Virgilio is so convinced that Jeremiah Cole will escape execution at Chama, where his sentence is to be carried out, that he has raised a reward for anyone who will successfully transport the prisoner there. And Britton Wade, a gunfighter and gambler, is determined to do just that.
